abstract Some mechanical properties glass fibres (Fig. 1) and values of a softening point according to Vicat (Fig. 2) for polyamide 6 and its composites with glass fibres were presented. These properties were defined for specimens prepared using computer controll injection moulding machine. Measurements were done for specimens without additional heat treatment and for specimens with soaking. The soaking was made at the temperature 170°C in the air atmosphere at the low heating and cooling speed and soaking time 15 minutes per 1 centimetre of a specimen thickness. The influence of injection moulding parameters on selected mechanical properties (Fig. 3-5) and a softening point according to Vicat (Fig. 6) for polyamide 6 and a composite with 50% content of a glass fibres was also tested. The test were carried out by a multifactor method according to an orthogonal plan and all parameter values were established on 5 levels. The detailed experiment plan and injection moulding parameters were presented in Table 1. The results were described by the second-degree polynominal curves and graphically presented.
