abstract Issues connected with porous materials are not something new in many world centeres but for wider applications one must definately wait. In our country there are conducted initial researches, in order of which, their further development can be applied to. In the article was presented general idea of porous materials with a detailed list of some disciplines in which they can be used and can achieve certain advantages. Expertations show that development of technology connected with this issue is quided to lower the weight of moving construction which will increase their exploitation characteristics. It is a challenge but in the same time-priority which can play an important role in the nearest future.
