abstract A sol-gel process was developed for fabricating Al2O3 nanopowders in the reaction of: a hydrolyzed alkoxyaluminium and an oxidation organics aluminium. Powder obtained by chemical synthesis were hold at a temperature of 350, 600, 900, 1200°C in air atmosphere for 1 hour. The Al2O3 powders show average particle-size ≤ 60 nm. The nanopowder hold at a tem- perature of 600°C show results the least degree agglomeration. This nanopowder Al2O3 was used to synthesized polyurethane composites. The variety of physical-mechanical test were performed: abrasive wear, density, among others.
