abstract In this work has been shown solidification curves for the metal matrix composites reinforced by ceramics particles, which has moulded at the same time to the three forms about different thermal conductivity’s coefficient. Research stand enable to fill at the same time the moulds only one peace of material and in this way is possible to analyse how the composites behaves at time of solidify with different velocity (Fig. 1). The study has been realised for AK12 alloy with 2% Mg and composites based on AK12+2%Mg matrix reinforced by Al2O3 particles (vp = 15%, 30 μm) and SiC (vp = 15%, 30 μm). Comparing of solidification curves were shown in Fig. 2. In graphite mould the temperature stops has been not registered, only change of curve gradient had recorded. Effect of reinforcement on cooling process is noted in all forms. Solidification curves had different curse then matrix material. Scheme of displacement of Al2O3 particles into cross section AK12-2%Al2O3 composite has been presented in Fig. 3. Above tests are only part of composites structure modification methods research range.
