abstract For the description of stress concentrations of wooden constructions with textile reinforcement made of glass or carbon fibres, analytical calculation models have been developed at the Institut für Leichtbau und Kunststofftechnik (ILK). The model presented here is based on the enhanced laminate theory combined with the method of complex-valued displacement functions and the method of conformal mappings. Using these, adapted solutions for the stresses and displacements are obtained. The material properties needed for the calculations are determined at the ILK within extensive experimental studies using modern optical 3D measuring techniques. Furthermore, these experiments are applied for the verification of the derived solutions.
