abstract In last some years it has been noticed the significant increase in the interests in the polymers including the wood flour (WPC) both the explorers and the manufacturers. The essential advantage of many others is the possibility to obtain the compositesby means of the traditional methods of processing thermoplastics i.e. the screw extrusion and the injection moulding. The results of the investigations into wood plastic composites-Malen P, S-901 with wood flour Lignocel C 250 S and Lignocel P Super have been presented in this article. The investigations were carried out on little paddles samples 4x10 mm in size, obtained by means of the injection moulding. The contents of the wood flour for each composite were from 0 to 50%. The investigations of linear shrinkage (Fig. 1), water absorption (Fig. 2), and impact strength (Fig. 3) were made. The mechanical properties at static tension for samples soaked for 13 weeks were determined. We determined tensile failure (Fig. 4c) stress at yield strength (Fig. 4a), elongation at yield strength (Fig. 4b), elongation at break were (Fig. 4d). It was found out that the mentioned properties depend above all on wood flour content, in a less degree of its particle range. In spite of the significant absorption of the water in comparison to clear Malenu P, S-901 mechanical properties of studied composites do not undergo principle changes. This statement is essential from point of sight of using finished products. The results of the investigations which have been presented in the announcement make up the part of the lead research in grant of KBN 4 T08E in frames 04822 entitled „Thermoplastics modified polymer wood flour fillers; preparations, processing and properties”. Key words: wood plastic composite, WPC, physical properties, mechanical properties
