abstract In this development work the results of computer simulation of cracking the samples for crack resistance tests have been presented. Authors made an attempt of computer modeling of the cracking process on pack of engineering software type CAD/CAM/CAE - I-DEAS NX ver. 11. Sample with the shape of rectangular prism beam with rectangular notch in its middle part has been used for simulation. The sample has been subjected to three-point bending. Material, from which the sample was made of, was composite of polypropylene with 25% content of glass fibre. It was necessary to present only selected tests results of simulation process of cracking. The results of simulation the cracking process have been presented in graphic form. In result of carried out the computer simulation, very wide research material was obtained, which has been subjected to detailed analysis for its right interpretation.
