abstract In the issue there were analyzed an elementary area of the composite included 27 ceramic particles (Figs. 1 and 2) with different geometric form in a typical metallic environment. In the analysis there were taken into consideration phases of the transition zone with averaging thermo physical properties between matrix and reinforcement and incomplete metallic matrix wetted surface. The object of the issue is one of two particular association namely: good heat conducting reinforcement and weak heat conducting matrix. There was set up a 3D thermal motion. The content of the issue are the results (Figs. 4 and 5 and Tab. 2) made on the basis of the thermal fields changing tracking what was determined because of computer simulation. Key words: metal matrix composite, solidification
